Superbia

Superbia is the fifth in Van Daele’s series of dance performances based on the seven deadly sins. His search for the dark caverns of the human soul has so far resulted in four penetrating and disturbing performances: Ira (anger), Invidia (jealousy), Gula (gluttony) and Sloth (inertia). On Superbia’s catwalk, man is stripped layer by layer of his vain motives and Van Daele shows us what remains: the insecure, searching man who has to hold his own in today’s photoshopped world.
